I have used the laptop with dual monitors -- one from the laptop and
one from external 19 inch LCD.
The PC get frozen a couple of times a day. I have to take out the
battery to restart the pc. Initially I thought it might be due to lack
of memory since there was 1/2 GB ram. So I added other 1/2 GB ram. No
change the PC still frozen a couple of time a day. What could be the
problem? Is there way to allocate the portion of the memory for video?

    TIA

May be an overheating problem due to the heavier use of the video sub
system. Did you try cleaning the vents or checking for dust bunnies?
