    Hi,
I tried updating the BIOS of my Tosh Satellite Pro 6100. I used the
recommended way as described on the Toshiba website. (using the BIOS
key). However the updated failed and my status LED blicks orange
indicating the BIOS rewrite failed. After switching off/on, it blicks
in a faster intervall indicating that the BIOS is damaged. I can
restart the BIOS update but it fails every single time. Anyone with a
similar problem and maybe a solution (apart from ringing Toshiba
    support).

I am not sure whether my system was set to boot or resume/hibernate.
It is mentioned in the readme that it must be se to boot. Maybe there
is a trick to change that setting - even with a damaged BIOS.

    Cheers,
    Ulrich

Not had experience with this particular Tosh.
All other Bios update probs I have had came out the same way. New MB or New
BIOS chip (If the BIOS Chip is available)
