I was trying to add dual LVDS to get WUXGA and one of the cable came loose and shorted the mobo for a split second. The laptop remained on and there was only a tiny spark. Anyways, now the computer turns on, fan spins louder than usually but it doesn't post. There's no hard drive activity or any weird linking led.

I'm sure there's a short somewhere, does anyone know what I can check? I did not see any obvious blown/burn spots on the mobo. The mobo is getting motherboard standby power, 3v, 5v but no 12-19v, except near the power plugs.
