Toshiba Satellite M30 no COM Port in device manager

    I have a serial port at the back of the computer, but it doesn't show
    in device manager.

    How do I get it to appear there?

    It doesn't list a serial port. Could you be looking at the parallel port or
    the vga port? Serial ports have 9 pins.

    Look into the BIOS or the laptop configuration utility: the port may be
    disabled.
