Travelmate 4222WLMi - Screen brightness problem

    Hi
    I just bought this computer and when the computer goes to hibernation-standby, the brightness goes to very low and when I turn it back on, it stays low. WHen I attempt to bring it up again, I am not able, it brightens for 4 seconds and goes back down again.

    when I switch users, it works fine, is there something I can do to fix it?
