TXGX framebuffer

Discussion in 'Sun Hardware' started by Michael Moeller, Nov 5, 2013.

  1. Hi,

I've got an S20 with a framebuffer labelled TXGX. Since I consider
attaching a TFT to the machine I'd like to know what the framebuffer is
capable of. I found nothing substantial regarding the TXGX on the web.

Generally a TFT is happy with a TGX @ 1024x768x60. The TXGX is
indentified by dmesg as cgsix "ver 11" just like any other TGX. Does
this mean a TXGX provides the same resolutions as a TGX?

    Regards
    Michael

  2. Yes, those all have the same specs.
The GX+ und TGX+ had more more video ram and thus were capable of higher
    resolutions.
