We have a server with a Supermicro X8DTN+-F rev.2.0 motherboard and a Intel Xeon E5620 processor. We were using this as a storage server for a back-up server but a couple weeks ago the server crashed and gave the following message: Un-Correctable DRAM ECC Error Detected at CPU01/DIMM1A. We swapped the memory from this slot with a new dimm. This didn't help as we were still getting the same message. Then we placed the memory from this to another slot, this gave us another message: Un-Correctable DRAM ECC Error Detected at CPU01/DIMM2A. So we decided to run memtest86. The first time we ran the test it got a lot of errors on test 4 and also got stuck at that same test. The second time it didn't show any errors and it passed 8 times. The third time we tryed to run the test without ECC, this time it passed 11 times over a time of 66 hours.

Does somebody know what could be the cause of our problems?
