I used IBM's bios update and ran the update. I had the laptop plugged
in and battery charged. I ran the exe spsukz34.exe, and the IBM page
came up.. appeared to run some update, then the system shut down. Now
when I restart it it beeps a few times and the hard drive light lights,
but nothing happens. The screen is black.
Any Ideas on how I can fix this or am I totally screwed?

Sounds like your totally screwed. But make sure you power button isnt
stuck and you power adapter is good and the laptop is infact getting
power. Give it a couple of smacks on the cas where you rest your hands
then see if you can get to the set up screen or not.
