USB 2.0 hub with more than four ports?

Discussion in 'PC Hardware' started by Jonathan Sachs, Oct 13, 2003.

  1. I didn't expect this to be a problem, but it is: nobody seems to make
a USB 2.0 hub with more than four ports.

Is there some sort of technical limitation which makes this
impossible? I searched the Web and DejaNews, but I can't find a word
about it one way or the other.

I know I can cascade hubs, but I've already got half a dozen pieces of
junk and a tangle of cables on my desk, and I'd rather not make the
mess any bigger than it has to be!

Newegg lists a Dlink DUB-H7, 7 port hub.

  3. Thanks -- that looks like a good product from a reputable
manufacturer. Puzzling that they are so hard to find.
