I got my BP6 up and running after not using it much for a year or more. I built it as a Beos box but had w98 and w2k and linux installed as well.

After deleting the linux installation ( it wasn't fun ) my w2k wouldn't boot. Stoopid os, really. So, I just got w2k installed again (after buying a disk, sheesh) and its running fine except the usb ports dont work. Never used the usb on this box before. Beos didn't use them and I had a parallel port printer. Now I have a usb printer for my broken IBook that I want to use.

Beos wont see the network that I am using here, dunno why. I am setup at a cyber cafe in PetionVille, Haiti with a wireless link from Netaccess to the server upstairs, then thru an NT4 server which no one knows how to service then into a linksys wireless/ethernet port. DHCP is coming thru, but Beos won't catch it. Too old I guess. Ah well.

So win2000 SP3 works fine on the network but I cannot figure out how to get the usb working. Installed windows updates but nothing happened.

When i built this box I installed the latest bios, whatever that was.

I ran it as non-pnp for years cause it was a beos box primarily. I have it set to activate pnp now.

Any answers?

Oh, mesi anpil. It does work now.

I thought fer shure that I had updated BIOS around year 2000 but I was apparently wrong. Put the newest bios in and moved that little ccmos jumper, started it up again and the usb ports are there. Kul!

I'm running Windows 2K Advanced Server with full USB - make sure that you install the latest Firmware on the motherboard, and my USB driver shows Microsoft 6/19/2003 ver 5.0.2183.1 by Microsoft. ...
