I have a kt7a (v1.3 Bios B4) running an 1800+, I would like to update to a 2400+, can I just drop it in and the bios auto detect, or are some manual settings required and what are they?

Cheers m8.

Cheers Wes, I dropped it in and selected optimised defaults, the cpu was shown as >=2100+ (133), multiplier as >= x13, FSB 133/33, core 1.650v and I/O 3.40v. Happy Days. My cpu temp is 10 degees lower aswell :-)) "Wes Newell" wrote:

I've heard that board and bios fully supports the 2400+. If not, you won't have to make any physical mods. It should default to 2000MHz. See Multiplier Cross Ref. in link below.
