All are factors of a computers performance each part has its own role
in the overall performance. One slow part will drag down the rest.

  4. What makes a car faster? Is it the wheels, the transmission, the
engine, the gas, the body style? Mount a 700 horsepower engine in a
car with skinny bicycle tires, and you will spin your tires very
quickly. Poor transmission ratios will have your engine speeding
while your car is barely moving - or lugging along trying to get
enough torque to get moving. And a top fuel dragster running on
50-octane gas probably won't even start.

As others have said, computers are _systems_ and performance can be
hindered by a number of factors.
