I found a motherboard jumper labeled "Force SP Ser" on a X4540 that have problems with the SP/ILOM not booting. I'm curious what it does - anyone know?

I can guess two different meanings: "Force SP Serial" or "Force SP Service" but... Someone should know :)

  2. When you boot the system, so you see any output on the VGA?

The only way to reflash the SP is booting the system using a USB flash
drive with some form of DOS and running some command from the
    Tools & Driver DVD.
