Whats the highest CPU for 8KTA3? Will 2100xp work?

  1. Want to upgrade from 1ghz on my sons machine. Will have a 2100 xp spare
    soon. Has anyone tried this in a 8KTA3? Vaguely remember someone posting
    that got a better CPU to work in this board than Epox recommended when this
    used to be my motherboard in my system a while back.

  2. It will work fine as long as you have the latest BIOS appropriately
    configured, Chipset drivers (4-1), and modern OS (WXPSP1).

    Go with a larger heatsink, and larger but slower fan, for thermal

    Do not expect your busses to run at 166Mhz on that board, they might, but
    its not assured.
