Where is my S478 P4F?

Discussion in 'Intel' started by Philip Callan, Feb 20, 2005.

  1. Why does this page:

    http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/processors/pentium4/index.htm

In the 'Clock speed supporting Intel® Extended Memory 64 TechnologyΦ'
    list have the 3.2F 3.4F and 3.6F available in 'LGA775 or mPGA478'
    Socket types?

I have scoured around, even some of the .jp sites, and cannot for the
life of me find a S478 F series.

I've seen news about the 875-T boards, which to me says that the chipset
SHOULD be able to handle EM64T with the appropriate BIOS upgrade, its
only a socket difference [afaik, its the same core inside a Prescott
    S775 P4EE, and a S478, just different packaging]

Anyone have a pointer to them? Can you even purchase them direct from
    intel or only via resellers?
