You can't even dnload a manual for them, only for the older layout.

Did they ever came out..?

Does any one know..?

A couple of people, me included, replied the first time you asked. There hasn't been a Rev. 2 on the IC7/IS7 series. Abit made some incremental changes, most visibly a new northbridge cooler, but they didn't call it Rev.
2. Most of the significant changes were in the bios, which can and should be flashed to the latest version.

Several people in several threads in several newsgroups have tried, but he's too stubborn to listen and too stupid to understand. He insults everyone who tries to point him in the right direction. Anyone who look closely at the two photos he linked can see a big difference, all right. One is an IS7, and the other is an IS7-E. Just because he labels one a "Rev. 2" doesn't make it so.

For the record: Abit did change the NB cooler and moved some connectors. Abit did not call it a Rev. 2. Anyone who says different, in OZ or anywhere else, is laboring under a misconception.

There is no reference to a Rev. 2 IS7-E on any Abit site, including the Australia/New Zealand bios and support pages and the Abit forums. There is no listing for an IS7-E Rev. 2 on Pricewatch, at AnandTech or TomsHardware, on any online hardware forum, in Google, or anywhere else except in the overheated imagination of young roger.s. Maybe when he grows up, there will be.

And, oh yes, Roger ...

I AM sorry that you're a dick.

Notice that the "Abit Agent" is illterate and admits he doesn't have the elusive (and imaginary) Rev. 2 in stock?

But hopefully he will some day. In fact, it will be a revision=20!!!!

Wow, they've skipped 19 revisions there in OZ.

Guess all us fucking idiots will just have to wait around while Roger the rudeboy genius gets to play with hardware that hasn't been made yet.

Are all Abit users Fucked up like you, go play with your PS2 as you just don't have the brains to be in here..,

I'd be happy to match IQ scores, degrees and life accomplishments with you, Roger. It might give you something to strive for when you grow up.

I don't have a PS2, but I did manage to build and overclock a reasonably potent P4/IC7 system that fills my gaming fix.

I'll be enjoying it while you wait for that illiterate and ill-informed vendor to ship you that "only in OZ" Rev. 2 IS7-E.

People were actually trying to be nice to you in explaining that no one has seen or heard of a Rev. 2. There are no specs at the Abit site, no listings at any major online vendor, no reviews, and no owner reports at any of the Abit fan sites.

Maybe we are all idiots and one Aussie sales rep, who admits he doesn't have a Rev. 2 and can't write a complete sentence, knows the real truth.

Or maybe you're just another rude, pig-headed twerp who gets confused and would rather insult everyone else than admit he was wrong.

Time will tell. But by then, nobody but you will care.

Run along and play with yourself until your package arrives.

Meanwhile the rest of us will go back to politely sharing information about non-imaginary hardware.

Those are photos of two different models, and neither is the current Rev.
1.2, much less a Rev. 2.0. They still use the old-style NB coolers, which were replaced because too many people complained about excessive noise.

I am sorry you were a dick.

Because everything works the same. I've never known Abit, or anyone else for that matter, to publish a new manual for a minor bios or board revision.

It is not a Rev. 1.2, and certainly not the Rev. 2.0 you keep insisting is out there somewhere.

This picture is of an IS7-G, but it shows the new Northbridge cooler that now ships on all current IS7/IC7 models:

http://www.abit-usa.com/images/products/IS7G_lg.jpg

The IS7-E doesn't get reviewed that often, and most of the photos you'll find are of the older version. The vendors selling the boards depend on Abit for photos, and Abit hasn't updated the picture.

But since you'd previously concluded that all Abit owners and all in this newsgroup are idiots, please continue to believe that you know best.

It is a Major layout change go look at the IDE connectors.

I mentioned that the connectors were moved in a post four days ago. Someone else told you that in another newsgroup more than a week back. Please try to keep up.

The fact remains that Abit didn't call it a Rev. 2. If you want them to rename the board and update the downloadable manual, please take it up with Abit directly.

I've tried to explain the situation to you as best I can, and all I've gotten in return is a bunch of attitude and insults.

Buy what you want, preferably another brand. You don't need any more advice from us idiot Abit owners.
