Hi
I found my old BP6 and gave it another Celeron 500, so I could have a game PC for the kids.
The only hardware installed: Asus 7100 graphics card, and an old 3COM ISA netcard. And the BIOS is the last official RU version.
Installed XP - no problems. Patched it with SP1 and all security patches for MS. Still OK.
And now for the birthday present for my self: A Wireless kit, with a Dlink 1000AP and 2 pcs of DWL 120 Wireless USB netcard. Installed on the kids no 1 pc with Win 98 - worked the first time.
And now, after 3 days and talking with the support at DLink, I surrender. This USB netcard wont work at the BP6. I have tried everything -but the driver can't be installed.
If I try it on another XP pc, it works as it should, so now I blame it on the BP6. I don't want to through it away - it runs like a dream in XP - except for the USB trouble.
Am I the only one with BP6/Wireless USB trouble or is there something I missed ??missed here ??
