Windows XP freezes when adding a PATA HD

    Hi, I`ve installed Windows XP SP2 and everything`s running fine. 1 SATA disk Maxtor 6v250F0 (250GB), 1 PATA disk Maxtor 6L160P0 (160GB) and 1 DVD Pioneer palyers connected to the Intel controller.

    When I add a third PATA ditsk to the Marvell controller the system freezes during Windows boot time.
    Windows freezes during the boot screen with the horizontal bar showing little markers moving from left to right. This screen freezes and a hard boot is needed.

    The extra disk is a Maxtor Diamondmax10 6L250R0. This disk is working fine in another Windows XP machine.
    When I connect a WD ATA 160GB disk to the Marvell controller there are no problems!!!

    I loaded the Marvell driver, tried both the 1003 and the 10214 version. Also tried different BIOS versions, including the Beta version.
