WinXP Media Center Edition coming

Discussion in 'ATI' started by Barry Watzman, Sep 30, 2004.

  1. Windows XP Media Center edition is going to be released by Microsoft as
an "unbundled" OEM product on October 12th.

Very interestingly, ATI "All-in-Wonder" products are not recommended on
the approved hardware list, in fact their is a specific recommendation
against them (although it's noted that they may work). Separate tuner
and video cards are recommended instead, and the initial approved
hardware list that I saw (preliminary) doesn't include an ATI tuner
    card, either.

The minimum recommended ATI video card is a 9800 Pro, which is on the
list, along with some of the newer cards.
