Wireless and the sound will not work on my Dell. *Need Help*

Recently I allowed a friend of mine to borrow my laptop (stupid...I know) When I recieved my laptop the next day the sound and my integrated wirless wouldnt work. It doesnt even show that I have the wireless component installed on my computer. I know that he was downloading what he said to be music from limewire..and maybe a virus was recieved from there. Can anyone help me? The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 700m
