X2200 M2 Memory....

I have a dual proc X2200 and I'm wanting to expand the memory in it.

I know I have to at least upgrade the server in pairs, my question is
do I have to do it in pairs for both processors at the same time, or
can I do one bank at a time? It appears that each processor has access
to it's individual 8-slot memory bank.

Right now I have a total of 4-GB of memory in the server, 2 x 1GB in
the first bank and another 2 x 1GB in the second bank. Bank identified
as the gathering of 8 slots next to an individual processor.

Can I purchase 2 more 1GB memory sticks and populate it in the first
bank for a total of 6GB? If so, will both processors be able to access
the memory or only one processor?

    Thanks!
