xvr-100/xvr-600 console output

    On the XVR-100 framebuffer it's impossible to get console output
    if the monitor is attached via the digital (DVI-D) output.

    Does anybody know if that's the case for the XVR-600, too ? It's not
    mentioned in the user docs (as with the XVR-100), but I want to
    be sure.

    I will buy a few Blade 1500s with 21" TFTs, which I definitely want
    to connect digitally via DVI-D, and if getting a XVR-600 (which seems
    to be next cheapest framebuffer providing digital output) instead
    of a XVR-100 is the only way to get console output, I'd probably
    do so, even if I don't need its 3D capabilities.

    I have got a sun blade 1500 with a xvr-600 and i can get console fine
    on it, but i use a 19" crt.
