Hi all. I'm not sure that it’s a right place to put this question... However I already saw here discussion on ZNEO subject.
So, what does it mean “big endian” with respect to hardware? Zilog documentation states, “The address of any word in memory is the address of its Most Significant Byte”. At the same time, 16-bit bus has its “MSB” sent over D15-D8 lines followed by BHE signal. Which means, that D15-D8 lines are ALWAYS used to transfer bytes on even address, and D7-D0 – odd, like Motorola does, for example. Is it true with regard to ZNEO too?
