Bad GA-965P-DQ6? or my lack of? Help

    I power up and all fans com on , GTX 8800 fan is going , 600 Watt PS, I have one 74Gig Raptor connected to one of the SATA connectors and one CDrom and one CD burner on the IDE connection.

    This hardrive was removed from my other computer which was connected via SATA and has XP Pro .

    Problem one is hardrive doesn't come up.
    Problem two is that the power lights on my two CD drives don't light up or work unless I disconnect the IDE cable from the motherboard. After that both green power lights come on and you can open and close them.

    Any help appriciated,
