Chipset software error

    I have a ASUS P9x79 Pro motherboard, that when i try to install the chipset drivers, i get a message that says in effect, my "hardware does not meet minimum requirements" The CPU is a i7-3930k with 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 ram. Get same message when trying to do a fresh install of Win8.1 or 10 OS. I've checked ASUS website and have downloaded what is offered as the correct software. Any thoughts?
