Compaq 5BW120 CPU Upgrade

New to upgrades. I am trying to upgrade my current cpu (600Mz Intel Celeron) to PIII 1.GHz SL52R. Do I have to change settings in BIOS? If yes, how to? When I F10 my PC while booting, it shows BIOS setting menu but no reference to CPU speed change - only enable/disable modes, change sys time etc. It has ROM 686c3 and I am running linux on this pc.

Never mind. I installed "new" CPU and it looked like settings in BIOS were changed. I didn't have to do any BIOS or jumper setting.
Works great!
