E6750 on P5WDG2 WS Professional?

Seeing as the E6750 is selling for less than the E6600 at the moment, would
it be sensible to install an E6750 on an Asus P5WDG2 WS Professional
motherboard (max FSB 1066MHz)?

I have tried... the system starts at 2.12GHz, you can indeed boot but... restarting just hangs. A power Off/On cycle is needed to bring this thing alive again. I suspect that there is a limitation on the FSB on this MB. The 6750 has a higher FSB than the 6600
