Hi All, I've been building with gigabyte motherboards since the 90's we understand each other, LOL. Well this time around the inability to easily purchase DDR5 and 50 series gpus convinced me to investigate prebuilt machines that have some upgradeability. Apparently Gigabyte started offering prebuilts in 2025. Amazon and Newegg had the Prime 5 AP5A7NT-5000 which consists of the following goodies:

Gigabyte B850 Gaming wifi 6 motherboard (intel wifi and bluetooth integrated)
32 gigabytes Team Group dual channel gaming ram (4 slots on this motherboard) decently fast gaming ram from what I can tell
    2 TB class 5 m2 (2 class 4 m2 connectors available)
    Ryzen 7 9700 cpu
    5070 ti video card
    850 W psu
not sure who builds the case but it's nice, glass on one side lightshows on the liquid cooler fans and the ram and some lights on the case.

Right now you can snap this box up for 2200 dollars which is pretty much a steal for all you get. I've read that gigabyte might be about to discontinue the 5070ti gpu in here which might be the reason for the nice discount on the price at the moment.

This machine may be Gigabyte's mark one prime five they do not list this machine on their web page that I can find. I've been using this thing for about a week it's very fast and smooth but like everything there be a few buggy things. Most web sites say get rid of the gigabyte control panel as it's mostly bloatware and the Gigabyte speed cfos is apparently buggy and causes problems with web browsing, it's supposed to reduce lag for gaming and may do that but if you go try to play a youtube or shop on amazon it causes problems currently.

    ANYWAY
My big concern is bios, the one on here is F1 from last year, since I can't find the listing for it on gigabyte's web site I'm questioning which bios I should be using. The motherboard bios has a different numbering system. JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHICH BIOS TO USE FOR THIS SYSTEM AND WHERE I CAN GET IT. Really scratching my head as to why gigabyte doesn't seem to have this system listed on their website that I can find.

something I read gave the me the idea that bios updates might be handled by the gigabyte gcc control center so I downloaded and installed it. That does appear to be the situation, I don't like that but thus far not seeing any issues being caused by the gcc. I'd much perfer to enter the mb bios and do updates the old fashioned way.
