We have a Sunfire V120 with no video card, no cdrom, 512MB RAM, 1 hard drive.

We have no history on the machine. It was given to the people who ran this group before us and I don't think they ever turned it on.

So, our first step was to connect using hyperterminal and a serial connection and we got absolutely nothing. We confirmed all of our hyperterminal settings and that we had the right cable and connector.

We installed the video card and tried connecting that way, but still got nothing.

Any ideas? Do you think the moboard is shot? Are there any jumper settings we might change or a cmos battery that can be reset?

    Thanks for all your help!
