how to optimize throughput

    Good morning,
    This is my first topic in Gigabyte. Generally speaking I want to build a computer using a non-extreme motherboard and processor with a memory setup that will be insync
    with the cpu. The 'throughput' of the memory bus should match the 'throughput' of the 'front side bus', from what I understand. What components (processor,memory,motherboard) can I use to get the most optimized performance? Where can I find how to figure the 'throughputs of the 'front side bus' and the memory bus ? With this information I think I could then choose what 'motherboard,processor and memory modules to buy...Thank you . I realize this post is not strictly a 'Gigabyte' forum topic,but I hoping you can shed some light on my ques.
