I have copied this from the Dell forum in the hope of a hit

    Hi
we are running windows 2003 server on a Dell Power edge 1600SC at a school. The disc crashed, and I am trying to reinstall 2003 server. The 1600 has an Adaptec 39160 scsi card, I got the scsi driver - u160_fms40_sp5_s4.exe - from Adaptec, unpacked to a floppy as instructed, started server 2003 install and pressed PF6 to load scsi, pressed S when asked for manufacturer supplied disk, and it loops on this. reading the floppy and asking for the manufacturer disk.

I have been back to adaptec several times for support, but can't get support, as the serial number on the card is too old to be recognised by the registration form: I am losing the will to live on that one.

Can any one help on getting the drivers loaded please

    Ray
