Hello World:
Since I upgraded the BIOS on my Intel motherboard today, my computer now gives me the following error/warning message upon powering on the computer: "Installed processor is not supported. Continued use may result in data loss, and/or unreliable performance." It gives me the option to press Enter to continue anyway. I press Enter, and so far everything seems to be functioning okay (I only did this upgrade a few hours ago), but suffice it to say, this warning is disconcerting. I am worried my computer will fail and my data will become corrupt, as the warning states.
My question is: Assuming money is no object, should I upgrade to a newer processor? If so, what is the fastest and/or most reliable/optimal processor I can install on this motherboard? How much RAM would be optimal given my hardware (listed below)? I am most concerned about data integrity. I have a RAID 1 mirror of 2TB and use this computer in an office (non-gaming) environment. I need the computer to be as fast as possible for an office environment.
