We had a big thunderstorm several days ago and it fried my wifi equipment, wireless phone base, the Ham shack PC (which was not plugged into wall outlet) used to remote control my TS-590SG radio on FT8 and a second PC cabled into the wifi router which was plugged into outlet. I ordered new wifi equipment and I now have wifi up and running, then ordered a used Uniden phone base now it is the PCs turn.

But, I have not the slightest idea of how to troubleshoot the PCs. They are completely dead - off/on buttons do nothing. I just need some advise on where to start troubleshooting the two PCs. But, I am really interested in how the shack PC was fried when it was not plugged into the wall outlet? Could it just be a fried power supply or much deeper then that? I have no idea where to start. I did check for any fuses or a circuit breaker on the PS and found none? Are there fuses on the motherboard? I did not see any after a quick check.

If it helps the PS is a Corsair CX600 and the MB is a ASUS M4A785-M.

    Any advise appreciate. Thank you
