ms-7030 ver:1 cant use 2 1G memory sticks

HI all,
I have the MS-7030 ver:1 MB for AMD 754 socket with a 3200+ CPU. I can get the machine to boot just fine with one stick of 1GB 3200 memory but not two. I have used either stick separately just fine and I have tried different slot combinations. I have updated the bios and it is listed as Phoenix 2.10.

Any suggestions?
