New HD won't work

    Hi (sorry for my bad English in advance..)

    i bought a new WD HD 250 GB, i connected the sata cable and the electricity cable, and when turning on, the comp is not recognizing the drive, not in bios (when pressing auto detect) and not physically, the HD disk isn't running and doesn't make any noise.

    Only if i take out the sata cable and leave the electricity cable the HD wakes up and hear him running.

    I thought it's a defective HD so i replaced it, but again the tsame problem with the new 1.

    also updated my bios, because i heard that some bios has HD size limitaion. didn't help.

    MB model is K8VT800

    Any help very much appreciated!
