no safe mode showing

I have a dell 3100 with the ms romoval tool virus.
I can get into the boot area but nowhere is there an option for safe mode....
Help please

You need to press "F8" right after the "Dell" logo appears. That makes a menu appear which contains the "safe mode" option.
