overclocking am2 sempron 2800

    HI guys, im new here and new to overclocking (sorta)

    my pc has as follows.

    k8m890m2ma mobo

    am2 sempron 2800

    ddr-2 533 512mb

    XFX GeForce 6200

    500w psu
    2 optical drives
    2 ide hdd

    I have heard that these processors overclock exelent with the standard hsf
    But i cant get it past 1.8ghz
    Could someone explain as if you were talking to a moron :p exactly what i need to do to unleash this processors true potential?
