P4C800-E Deluxe only seeing 2.5 GB RAM

Hello,

My system originally had 1 GB RAM. I just added 2 GB more, but the system is only seeing 2.5 GB. Just putting the new RAM in, the system sees the full 2 GB. Even the BIOS screen upon boot up is only seeing 2.5 GB, so I don't think Windows is the problem (I have WIN XP PRO). What do I need to do to see the other 0.5 GB of RAM?

Have you solve your problem?

I have exactly the same with 2 Go of Samsung RAM and 2 Go of Corsair RAM.
Only 2457 Mb are recognized.
