P4D-66 Battery Error

    I have a Gateway 2000 P4D-66.

    On boot up, I get a battery error. I've searched the motherboard several times and could not locate a battery. I've even pulled the motherboard and checked the back side on the off chance it would be there.

    Searching the web has produced little help. I did read somewhere there was a battery in the CMOS chip, so I ordered up a new one. After installing it, I still get a battery error and now, I get a clock error, too.

    Any help would be appreciated.
