please help me with sonic cine player re. region codes

i recently rented a dvd that had a different region code to the one set by cine player. i changed it so i could watch the dvd, but nothing happened and i still couldn't watch the dvd. i tried another dvd in it now and it won't play because of the region codes, but i've been through all the settings and troubleshooters and i can't find how to change it back. any suggestions?
