Possible MOBO failure?

Hello, I have been having problems with my MS-6547 645 Ultra lately. The monitor won't recognize the CPU at startup. It sounds like everything is starting fine. The monitor doesn't turn on though and I thought it was my dying CMOS battery at first. I replaced the battery and still have the problem. I checked that it isn't a problem with the monitor or the video card and both are fine. I'm worried that I fried the processor or mobo by not replacing the battery earlier but I'm hoping that it's an easier fix than having to buy a new mobo. Any ideas as to what it might be? Thanks a lot for any ideas! -Ian
