problem with my compaq

hello group i have a deskpro en sff 600 it had a maxtor hdd 13gb i took it out and replaced it with a 80 gb western digital and for the last 2 days have tried to get it to work it only recognizes a small portion ive been to the compaq site but its kinda complex for me any help would be greatly apreciated
