Are there ANY Ryzen (AM4) motherboards that actually support ECC memory? Asus USED to support it on all their MBs, but it seems like that support is being withdrawn. Gigabyte spec indicate that ECC memory is supported in NON-ECC mode (why bother).

Thanks to anyone who can help.

If you want verified ECC support, you need to buy the workstation chips and motherboards: Threadripper Pro or EPYCs. ECC is supported on the Pro series as well. My home server is running Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G (yay for integrated graphics) and Asrock B550M. ... So on Linux, ECC is fully supported, even with Ryzen.
According to AMD, all Ryzen processors feature built-in support for ECC memory. This means for those prosumers that need the error-checking memory, the cost of a workstation-class CPU just plummeted.
