I'm desperately hoping somebody can help me out....I've wasted 8 hours on this & it's driving me crazy!
I recently reinstalled Windows XP on an Inspiron 6000. Before the installation the speakers worked fine - After the install I updated all the drivers, etc & the speakers aren't working. The headphone jack works fine, but I can't get the speakers to work.
I've spent hours on it, called Dell & after an hour they gave up, gave it to a local computer guru & he gave up after an hour, so I'm hoping somebody here can help.
Obviously I've checked to make sure nothing's muted, volume is turned up, etc.
Any comments are greatly appreciated.
