Speaker wont work!?!

    I own a hp DV6000 laptopand the built in speaker wont work. Ive been through all of the volume controls and mutes. Ive updated drivers and tried uninstaling audio components and reinstaling them. If any body has had the same problem or has light to shed on the issue i would appreciate help very much.
