    Hi,

I am trying to boot Manjaro from a live USB, formatted via mkfs.vfat and the iso copied using dd bs=4M.

The board boots into the BIOS fine.

The board cannot find the OS and does not even recognize the USB in the boot order. Other USBs are recognised. The USB is recognised on my Arch desktop.

Given the vintage of the board, am I formatting the bootable USB correctly? Do I have to format in an older spec?

    The USB is 16GB.

    Thanks in advance

The board in question does not appear to support USB Booting, so I burnt a DVD instead and it can boot into the live ISO image.

Therefore, the investigation into this matter is closed.
