swapping hard drives in a T410?

    I have this T410 used for my work stuff. Id like to use my personal SATA HD in the laptop on nights/weekends so as to keep my personal/work separated.

    The HD I plan to use came from an Acer WinXP laptop, I'd hoped it would just boot in the IBM (Ive been successful with this in the past) but it just blinks a cursor at me.

    Do I need to put special partition or something else equally dumb to get this thing to boot?
