Toshiba Satellite not recognizing wireless card

Just installed an Atheros 802.11G wireless card (model #PA3299U-1MPC) in my Toshiba A45-S120. However, the card is not showing up in the device manager, and searching for new hardware does not find the card either.

What am I doing wrong?? How do I get the laptop to see it?

OS: Windows XP Pro.
