    Hallo,

Maybe a silly question - but I'm pretty new to Sun hardware. I've bought lately an used Sun Ultra 10, and noticed a bit unpleasant thing: it takes about 3 minutes since switching it on, until the screen will became bright, and first messages (testing memory, and so on...) appear.

At the very beginning for about 30 seconds a "Caps Lock" key diode is lit (it cannot be switched off). Then it goes off for about 30-40 seconds (didn't count precisely). Then it blinks slowly - about once each two seconds - then again it goes off for some time. Finally, all the keyboard LEDs make just "one big blink" - and at last the screen is on, and I can see Sun logo, first messages, and "ok" prompt.

Such behaviour looks for kind of detailed internal test(?). Is it really so - or is it a symptom of some damage? If this is just test - repeated everytime, when the machine is powered on (not after "reboot"!) - how could I switch it off? Or at least shorten it?
