Windows XP: A thread tried to release a resource it did not own

    Computer was randomly locking up so I reformatted the HD and tryed to reinstall windows but, midway through install BSOD pops up with this error: A thread tried to release a resource it did not own.
    I have a GIGABYTE GA-975gcm-s2c motherboard,
